Characteristics of BMX bicycles
The handlebar or handlebar
The BMX use riser bar handlebars with a crossbar to give greater strength and resist the impacts of the jumps. The most basic position of the handlebar or handlebar on a BMX bike is parallel to the fork or scissors. However, depending on the personal taste or the performance that is sought this can be tilted a little forward to allow a greater extension of the arms but loads more weight in the front. On the contrary, tilting it back will give you more control but reduces the space between cyclist and bicycle.
Regarding width, a parameter that is used is that it should be about the width of the user’s shoulders. It is possible to find handlebars of different heights beside that you can play with the height of the power.
The BMX frames are compact compared to other types of bicycles. Its seat tube is short to allow enough space between cyclist and bicycle, necessary for jumps and acrobatics. For obvious reasons, these frames are very resistant and can be manufactured in steel (hi-ten and cromolyn) and aluminum.
